So to keep you guys updated.  Our fundraiser event was a success.  We sold a lot of things and still have a lot of things left.  Praise God for all the people He brought and all the people that helped.  I had a great time but seriously, it was quite tiring but totally worth it.  So we raised about 2200 USD for the team and the leaders and I decided we will use partially of that fund for the team emergency and give the rest to the ministry!  Praise God for his faithfulness.  To be honest, it was way more than what I expected.  We really have to count on His promises than ours!  Proven again and again!

We also had dinner with Emily last Friday and she ended up giving me 30 USD which was how much the dinner cost! haha I am still thankful but really in my head, I am thinking “really!!!! It is hard and I really don’t know how missionaries like Bertina, Clay and others do this???” I asked myself this question! Maybe I haven’t really spread the word out and asked as boldly as I should have.  This is definitely the area that I need to work on and need God to help me!

To give is to receive

Last week, we visited a few good friends of mine who aren’t believers yet.  I told them about the trip to India and some of them are very interested.  Some immediately gave money to me to support me.

I was very moved and overwhelmed as mentioned earlier, they aren’t believers yet.  However, their heart to support has nothing to do with their faith.  I appreciate you all who listened, who gave financial support.  As they give, I am challenged and encouraged in the same way about my giving to the need.

Give is such a test of faith and act of faith.  Also, faith without work is dead.

Acts 20:35 It is more blessed to give than to receive
Proverbs 22:9 Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor
Luke 6:38 give, and it will be given to you

Though I still have a long way to go but I am believing in God’s faithfulness and promises.
Many of you might know I am a big fan of Andrew Wommack.  Here is his teaching about giving

FYI, our tshirts have arrived and sorry for the blurry photo

Ten Days Missions Support Training

Every Nation church is amazing place to go.  There are amazing teachers and materials that can equip you before you go on the mission field.

Recently, we just went through the 10 day mission training in 2 hours.  Thanks to Jason, Adora and Weng who are missionaries from the Philippines in Taipei.  They have done so much already to help us understand what mission is and how to prepare it.

Can’t wait! Now, just waiting for the fund to come in and start to go through some paper process for visa and tickets.

How everything started

So I am currently one of the small group leaders and last year, we felt God has called us out to serve in a different country for a 10 day mission trip. We prayed about it and we felt God highlighted Philippines and India.  I personally have some connections with ministries in the Philippines so it makes more sense for us to go there.  However, as we continued to pray as a team, we all felt the Lord told us India is where we are supposed to serve.  We later got connected with a ministry under Every Nation called Love and Care Ministries in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India ( The founder is Yesupadam and he has an amazing testimony. Feel free to find out here

As a result, we have a team of 10 young adults who are committed to serve in India from Aug 11th to 22nd.  I would like to invite you to support me and partner with me as we take the love of the Christ to India. Prayer and financial support are needed.

So here is the crew!
